Top NDC officials visit Montie 3 at Nsawam prison

Top officials of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have been seen visiting the Montie FM panelists at the Nsawam prison, KasapaFM has reported.

According to the report, the imprisoned panelists, Alistair Nelson, John Ako Gunn and host of the radio program, Saalifu Maase (also referred to as Mugabe) have received visits from the brother of President John Mahama, Ibrahim Mahama, deputy education minister, Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa and the communications minister, Dr. Omane Boamah.

The president is under pressure to use his power through a presidential pardon to free the inmates - requests which political opponents say could undermine the independence of the judiciary. Meanwhile, several members of the NDC are signing a petition at the premises of Montie FM for the release of these inmates.
