Ghanaian actor, Abeiku Nyame aka Jagga Pee has appealed to the president of Ghana and the general public in a new video to come to his aid in raising an amount of Ghc40,000 to undergo an urgent heart surgery at the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital in Accra.
The actor who is pictured with his wife said he went for a medical test at the national Cardiothoracic centre at the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital a two weeks ago and results from the tests revealed her is suffering from rheumatic heart disease with severe aortic valve incompetence and mild to moderate mitral valve regurgitation.

Doctors have advised he undergo an immediate open heart surgery to replace the disease valve with mechanical prosthetic valve. The cost of this surgery was estimated at $20,000.
In an interview with www.razzonline.com, Jaga Pee said: “The total cost for the surgery is 20,000.00 US dollars but the Ghana Heart Foundation will assist by paying 50% which is 10,000.00 US dollars."
The actor went on to say, "I need 10,000 dollars which is equivalent to Ghc 40,000.00 to undergo the surgery; But where am i going to get such an amount of money from? So I’m again appealing to the President and the general public to help me undergo the surgery.”
The veteran actor who started his professional acting in 1984 and played a lead role in the popular 'TV theatre' series, has been battling with an enlargement of the heart for almost a year now.
