The police service has revealed that it has giver GHC 2,000 to the wife of the cop who killed his in-law, two children and himself last week in Tema.
According to the Tema regional police spokesperson, ASP Juliana Obeng in an interview with Joy News said the amount serves as a welfare package in times like these.
“The police administration as part of our welfare packages in times like these has donated an amount of GH¢2,000 to help her cater for her immediate needs,” she said.
She further noted that the widow would be supported if need be.
ASP Obeng also indicated that the widow as being monitored closely by the police for security reasons.
Meanwhile, the widow has confirmed receipt of the money. Investigations are still ongoing into the incident.
Rapha Iddrisu’s husband, a Lance Corporal of the regional Rapid Deployment Force, Wilfred Amuzu killed his mother-in-law and his two young sons (three months and one-year-olds) with a rifle which he had booked for duty on last Monday, July 25.
