Miss Ghana 1991, Brigitte Dzogbenuku has been picked by the presidential candidate of the Progressive People's Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom as his running mate for the 2016 presidential elections.
This will be the second time the PPP will be presenting a woman as the party’s running mate for presidential elections. In 2012 Dr Nduom picked a former GBC Director-General, Eva Lokko as running mate.
Brigitte Dzogbenuku is the founder and executive director of Mentoring Women Ghana (MWG). She also worked with Ashanti Goldfields Company Limited as the liaison officer on the Geita Project in Tanzania at the Dar-Es-Salaam office.
She worked with SC Johnson Wax as brands manager. Before going to Tanzania, for two-and-a-half-years, she ran her own public relations and events management company - Protocol Ventures.
Brigitte is a mother of one and loves playing tennis.
She is expected to be introduced and presented to the PPP delegates at an event in Accra.
