Election 2016: Ghana police identify 5000 flashpoints

Close to 5,000 flashpoints has been identified ahead of the general elections by the national elections and security task force.

Director of public affairs of the Ghana police service, Superintendent Cephas Arthur, revealed during a simulation exercise that the measures are part of plans to clamp down on violence ahead of 2016 elections. The maiden mock exercise was to send a signal that the task force was prepared to ensure peace before, during and after the 2016 elections.

As the general elections draw near, concerns are rife over the possibility of political violence as  security forces reveal the political tension in Ghana is currently on the high.
