The Ashanti regional police command has arrested a warrant officer, Evans Kubeadzor, for freeing one of Kumasi’s alleged most wanted cocaine dealer, Kofi Asamoah.
Kofi Asamoah, was arrested last year at Atonu in the Ashanti regional capital with 82 grams of cocaine at his hideout.
READ ALSO: Check out stunning photos from Rio OlympicsThe suspect was admitted to bail to the tune of GH¢ 100,000.00 by the Kumasi High Court with two sureties one of which is to be justified, but the command says it was not aware of the bail conditions leading to the release of the suspect.
Ashanti regional Police Prosecutor, Emmanuel Ackonor, told Ultimate Fm’s Isaac Bediako “a disciplinary action has been initiated. For now, he has been served with interdiction letter but we are still investigating what made him to sign something he is not a party to because we don’t understand how quickly that bail was executed.
