In Ghana, society demands that people get married at a certain age.
For men, it is usually between 30 and 33, while it is between 27 and 30 for women. For many Ghanaian celebrities who have gone past the expected marriage period, there is immense pressure on them to "settle down".
Most of the pressure comes from their fans who bombard them with questions on social media as to when they are getting married.
Some fans have even speculated that some of their favourite celebrities may never get married, opting for single life.
Here are the celebrities who are under the most pressure to marry:
1. John Dumelo
The 32-year-old has been named among Ghana's most eligible bachelors. In response to the heated pressure on him to marry, Dumelo recently stated that he would do so at the right time.
2. Yvonne Nelson
The 30-year-old says she does not want to rush into marriage and rush out soon after.
"I’m not in a rush; I don’t want to marry today and divorce tomorrow because it happens a lot in the industry. Marriage is a beautiful thing but it has to be right."
3. Lydia Forson
The 32-year-old is one of the most sought-after single women in Ghana. Although she faces immense pressure from fans to get married, it is not known if she plans to do so anytime soon.
4. Joselyn Dumas
The 35-year-old single mother is facing her fair share of pressure from fans as to when she will "settle down".
5. Yvonne Okoro
Fans are wondering when the beautiful actress will say "I do". It's not clear if she in a relationship.
A broadcaster with Accra-based Citi FM, Jessica has 16 years’ experience in broadcasting. She told Graphic Showbiz in 2014 that she was engaged, but did not disclose the identity of her man.
7. Nana Aba Anamoah
She is one of the most popular media personalities in the country and a mother of one. In a 2014 Twitter chat, she said she was seeing someone and would love to have another child. She added, however, that marriage was not for everyone.
