The publisher of Ovation International magazine, Dele Momodu, has urged members of the opposition to commend the President John Mahama for the good works he is doing instead of subjecting him to insults
“If you see a man who is doing great, let us encourage him to do more. We cannot ruin all our leaders with politics; it is wrong,” he said in an interview with Ghanaweb.com.
Chief Momodu said the insults would not stop the president from continuing what he called his “humongous” developmental projects.
“It has not stopped him from upgrading Kotoka International airport to a world class level; it has not stopped his water and housing project. It has not stopped him from doing rural electrification, rural healthcare delivery among others,” he said.
The media mogul went on to compare President Mahama to Kwame Nkrumah, who he said was not appreciated until he was overthrown, adding: “We must not allow the same to repeat itself in Ghana.”
Chief Momodu emphasised that President Mahama was a visionary who must be supported to develop Ghana.
The University of Professional Studies recently conferred an honourary doctorate degree on Chief Momodu in recognition of what the university said was his contribution to the world of business, politics, literature and the media industry.
