A Nigerian man has been arrested at the Muscat International Airport in Oman for trying to smuggle 217 bank cards into the country.
Oman customs tweeted that the unnamed man was arrested on Tuesday by the Royal Oman police.
The circumstances under which he was arrested are not immediately clear. But the fact that he was caught with so many bank cards raises issues that border on criminality.
Oman airport customs also foiled a separate attempt to smuggle 730 Tramadol capsules on the same day, according to a report by the Times of Oman.
Oman is an Arab country on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula.
