Nineteen new judges and magistrates have been sworn-in to join the bench by the Chief Justice, Georgina Theodora Wood.
The new judges and magistrates were elevated to the bench with a call on them to handle the administration of justice decently and responsibly.
In all seven of them were magistrates and 12 circuit court judges.
The newly appointed judges were cautioned by the CJ to deliver their judgement on time and be fair and firm.
Mrs Wood told the judges that their appointment was not a gift, but that their recruitment had been transparent, competitive and fairly done, for which reason they must be motivated to achieve the highest level of excellence in their careers.
She also administered the oath of allegiance, the judicial oath and the oath of secrecy.
