In last 10 years, some Black Stars players raised the flag of Ghana high and made us proud to be Ghanaians with their exploits.
Here are five of them:
1. Stephen Appiah
The man affectionately called "Tornado" helped qualified Ghana to our first World Cup in 2006. He also captained the team to a second round finish at the tournament in Germany.

2. Michael Essien
The player called the "Bison" was an instrumental member of the team that qualified Ghana to our first World Cup in 2006. He helped Ghana win Bronze at African Cup of Nations tournament in 2008. The midfielder made the country proud with his performances for Chelsea in the English league and in the champions league.
3. Sulley Muntari
He was instrumental in helping Ghana qualify for the World Cup in 2006, 2010 and 2014. He helped Ghana reach the quarter-finals at South Africa 2010.
4. Asamoah Gyan
He is the all-time top scorer of the Black Stars with 48 goals in 95 games. His goals helped Ghana qualify for and perform at three World Cup tournaments. He also excelled during several AFCON competitions for Ghana.
5. Andre Ayew
He captained the Black Satellites to become the first African side to win the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2009. He was a crucial member of the Black Stars team at South Africa 2010 and Brazil 2014.
