Ghana's veteran actor, Kofi Middleton Mends has been reported dead.
According to media reports, he passed away on Tuesday evening "under undisclosed circumstances." The news was reported by KasapaFM and tributes have started pouring in on social media, though it is not clear the cause of death yet.
Kofi Middleton Mends is remembered for his famous television adverts for Key Soap, as well as such Ghanaian classics as No Tears for Ananse (1968).

His last movie role was in Shirly Frimpong Manso’s Grey Dawn (2015). His death follows the passing away of veteran actor, George Williams who died aged 87 at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
