I didn't see the roads - Nana Addo to Mahama

The flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo is asking the natives of the Western Region to ignore the “lies” being peddled by his opponent and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, President John Mahama as he campaigns in the region.

The leader of the NPP was responding to President Mahama’s accusation that he slept on his five-day tour of the Western Region hence his inability to see all the good roads.

Nana Addo earlier had decried the impassable state of the roads in the region pointing accusing fingers at the government for their failure to honour their campaign promises of creating good roads.

However, President Mahama in his tour of the region refused the claim of the NPP flagbearer.

According to the president, Nana Addo must have been sleeping to have missed the good work done on the Western regional roads.

Nana Addo who was addressing supporters and party sympathizers at the Achimota Station in the Okaikoi North constituency Friday said he was wide awake.

Adding that he “did not see the roads he [President Mahama] constructed. It was the same poor muddy roads I used in the region. I was wondering what roads he was talking about.”

The people in the Western Region and all those who use those roads there will know the one who is peddling falsehood. If the roads were good, would they have included it in their projects,” he asked the crowd.
