NDC to reduce cases of rejected ballots ahead of elections

President Mahama has revealed intentions by the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to embark on an exercise to reduce cases of rejected ballots ahead of the elections.

Mahama in his campaign tour at Kpandai, Wulensi and Bimbilla in the Northern region, reveals that the decision follows high rates of spoilt ballots recorded in the Northern region during previous elections.

This was his message to supporters;“There's no need to panic in the booth while casting your vote. On many occasions when you are given the ballot papers, some voters especially our mothers, have their thumb-print crossing the space allocated unto the other, rendering the vote invalid. It is ,therefore, important that we take you through this exercise to ensure that you do the right thing,"he said.
