President John Mahama's car donation spree only seems to be spreading far and wider following his recent "gift" to another chief.

The latest beneficiary of Mahama's "car-donations" is the regent of the Abudu Royal Gate of Dagbon, the Bolin Lana Mahamadu Abdulai, who has taken receipt of a brand new Toyota Fortuner with registration number GN 7732-16.

However, this new gift has drawn mixed reactions.

Whereas some members of the Abudu Family believe the mover is grand attempt by President Mahama to gain some extra electoral nods from the Abudu Gate, others think it meant to act as a reconciliatory move by the President who was regularly been accused of ignoring the Bolin-Lana’s palace anytime he visits Yendi.

Some Andanis, on the other hand, think it a betrayal of trust that the President is "friends with members of the Abudu Gate when they (Andanis), are those who always vote for the NDC in elections."
