Managers of Montie FM have opened another book to collect signatures for President John Dramani Mahama.
Only this time, they are not collecting signatures for a petition, but rather signatures to show appreciation of the President for pardoning the jailed contemptuous trio, Alister Teiro Nelson, Godwin Arko Gun and Mugabe Maase.
The FM opened a petition book earlier, calling on President Mahama to issue a pardon to the jailed contemnors who became collectively known as the "Montie 3".
The "Thank You" book has been opened at the premises of Montie FM and according a report by Atinka FM has gathered a significant amount of signatures already.
Mahama on Monday, 22 August, issued a presidential pardon to the contemnors who were serving a four-month jail sentence following their statements and threats against judges of Ghana's Supreme Court.
The presidential pardon has, however, been met with continued criticism with many citing it as an abuse of incumbency by the president and other saying it defeats the strength of Ghana's judiciary system.
