Bishop Daniel Obinim's lawyer has indicated that they might go to court to demand bail if the police fail to grant it to them.
Speaking to the Accra-based radio station, Citi Fm, Atta Kyea said, "if they [Police] don’t grant him bail we will resort to the court to grant him bail."
The founder and lead pastor of Godsway International Church, Bishop Obinim was whisked away by the police after he reportedly turned himself in to answer to charges of defrauding a gold dealer of GHC11.6 million.
Despite public backlash, Obinim had explained that the two teenagers were indeed his adopted children and that he was spiritually directed to punish the duo as he did.
