Papa Kwesi Nduom has thrown a direct challenge to incumbent President, John Dramani Mahama, in anticipation of the 2016 General Elections.
According to the presidential candidate of the Progressive People's Party (PPP), National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential candidate must honor his challenge so as to defend his (Mahama's) claims that Ghana was indeed transformed under the his NDC government.
Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom also wishes Mahama would face him to debate policy issues on how to improve the general welfare of Ghanaians.
“I challenge the President for a one-on-one debate to tell Ghanaians who can improve the general wellbeing of the citizenry,” he said while speaking on Adom FM’s current affairs programme, ‘Burning Issues’.
Nduom also used the platform to raise concerns about the current NDC government and some of President Mahama's campaign promises.
According to the "Edwumawura", President Mahama has only been spreading false claims about how lives of Ghanaians and the economy have been transformed.
The flagbearer of the NDC, John Mahama, who has been on a regional campaign tour is yet to accept the challenge or otherwise.
