The mystery surrounding Bishop Obinim's arrest has finally been unravelled. This was seen in an intercepted letter written by K-SAN Law Firm on behalf of the petitioner, Bismark Kusi.
The letter reveals that the complainant, Bismark Kusi parted with an amount of GHȻ780,000.00 to one Okomfo Dzakpata, of Mampong-Nkwanta, near Koforidua, ostensibly to help him (Bismark Kusi) manage proceeds of some family gold but in an effort to seek assistance from Obinim to retrieve the money, he (Obinim) failed to retrieve the money.
The complainant subsequently requested a refund of his payment but Obinim refused.

Meanwhile, lawyer for the Obinim, Atta Akyea, believes the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) is behind the letter aimed at disgracing Obinim and diverting attention from the remission President John Mahama granted the Montie 3. Meanwhile, Bishop Obinim has been granted bail with two sureties for each of the offences for which he was arrested.
