Election 2016: EC boss warns media against violent language

Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Charlotte Osei, has revealed that Ghana is most likely to plunge into war should the media engage in irresponsible journalism.

Speaking at the 2016 Ghana Journalists' Association at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra, Charlotte Osei  encouraged circumspection on the part of the media in order to ensure peace and tranquility before, during and after the polls in December.

The warning of Charlotte Osei follow the arrest of the Montie 3 in July who were charged with criminal contempt after they threatened to the lives of supreme court judges.
