Dede Ayew promises to pay airfares for Black Stars players

Ghana Black Stars deputy captain, Andre Ayew has reportedly made commitment to pay the airfares of all Black Stars players who are unable to afford their air tickets to honour Ghana’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda on Saturday.

This was revealed by the communications director of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Sannie Daara.

He said: “Dede Ayew promises to pay for the tickets of all the foreign-based players invited for the game who do not have the financial strength to do so themselves.”

Reports in the Ghanaian media have it that Sports Minister has warned the official travelling agency of the GFA to stop the travelling arrangement of the players, just seven days before the team takes on Rwanda.

Coach Avram Grant has named a 23-man squad to prepare for the final group game against the Amavubi.
