Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has failed his medical and will not join English Championship side Reading FC according to getreading.co.uk.
The Shanghai SIPG player confirmed to Sky Sports News HQ that a transfer move to England was imminent and that he and his agent were considering offers.
Gyan who has been linked with a series of clubs including former English Premier League team Sunderland and Fulham had his medical on Monday with Championship club Reading.
The 30-year-old Black Stars forward who was looking to seal a loan transfer move to Reading failed the medical as he will not be fit to play for the club for up to eight weeks.
The Royals have opted out of a deal to sign Asamoah Gyan from Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG.
