Bishop Daniel Obinim, the founder of the International God’s Way Church, on Tuesday, led his church members in passionate prayers for the God expose what he described as lies in his fraud case.
It comes barely a week after he was arrested by the police for allegedly defrauding a gold dealer of GHC11.6 million.
He spent two nights in the cells of the Nima police station.
Obinim was eventually granted bail to wild cheers and jubilation by members of his church.
The controversial preacher forcefully denied the charges of fraud.
He said had never met his accuser until his arrest and so could not have defrauded him.
"“As I looked at him at the police station, I asked myself ‘how can a young man who has probably never been to school, have that much money to be given to me?'”
Obinim the vowed to pray for God to fight for him.
“If I am a true man of God, then let my God speak for me. You cannot disgrace me like this and go free. My God will speak and you will all see what will happen to them and their families,” he said.
