IGP reshuffles 90 senior police officers

The inspector general of police (IGP), John Kudalor, has again reshuffled the top hierarchy of the Ghana police service barely three months to the December elections.

The reshuffle has affected ninety officers serving at the national headquarters and other districts. The affected officers include Nima divisional police commander, ACP Nuhu Alhassan Jango who is now transferred to the Eastern region; ACP Peter Gyimah of the Community Policing Unit in the Ashanti Region, now the Wenchi Divisional Commander; ACP Martin Ayiih of the Adenta Division is now headed to the Hohoe Divisional Command in the Volta Region among several others.

Some of the affected officers include Nima divisional police commander, ACP Nuhu Alhassan Jango who is now transferred to the Eastern region; ACP Peter Gyimah of the community policing unit in the Ashanti Region now the Wenchi Divisional Commander; ACP Martin Ayiih of the Adenta Division now the Hohoe Divisional Commander in the Volta Region.

Prior to this, the IGP made 29 changes in November 2015, 61 in January 2016. and 80 1n May 2016. This brings to 260 the major reshuffles made in his administration over a 10-month period.
