Police hunt down NPP executive for threatening to shoot NDC members?

The Suhum Police force are reportedly on the hunt for the National Youth organiser of the New Patriotic Party, Sammy Awuku.

According to a report by GhanaPoliticsOnline.com, the NPP stalwart was wanted for allegedly pulling a gun on one Daniel Chanor, who is a Communication Officer of the New Democratic Congress and some NDC executives.

The report states that Sammy Awuku has fired some warning shots at the NDC executives.

The incident, which reportedly happened over the weekend, occurred when the two parties clashed on campaign trail in the Suhum Constituency.

Speaking with the publications, Kofi Wayo, the Youth Organizer of the NDC at Suhum narrated that the NPP team which was led by Sammy Awuku met Daniel Chanor and warned him to stay away from Ajorabo in the same constituency before the clash.

However, the rather intractable Daniel Chanor decided not to heed the warning. When Mr. Chanor and some NDC executives met with Sammy Awuku for the second time, this was when the NPP executive allegedly pulled a gun and threatened to fire.

Kofi Wayo also revealed that an official complaint has been filed with the Suhum Police.
