According to George Loh, the Member of Parliament for the North Dayi , there is something fundamentally wrong with Reverend Professor Henry Martey.
The NDC MP thus suggested that the cleric be made to undergo careful examination to assess exactly what is wrong with him.
George Loh comments on the Man of God follows claims by the outgoing Moderator of the Presbyterian Church that some key members of the incumbent New Democratic Congress has tried to cajole him with "$100,000, an SUV vehicle and a mansion at Trassaco."
George Loh, who doubles as the Vice Chairman of the Committee on Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs', was speaking on Accra-based radio station when he made the revelation.
Mr Loh revealed that he had his doubts about Rev. Martey when the former said, "anyansafor eeii mo wor he" to wit "wise men where are you?"
The NDC stalwart also expressed his disappointment in the claims and accusatory comments made by the former Presby Moderator saying that well-respected pastors like Prof. Martey must seek to bring comfort to people instead of panic and confusion as his comment had created.
“I have met other Moderators who are well behaved, so I didn’t expect such comments from Prof Martey. When other Moderators speak, there is peace and harmony in homes and the nation at large. This country is a home to all of us so we would expect that, like in other places, if you are critical, there is a way you go about it so that mud is not thrown at you. We have had enough of some pastors destroying the social fibre of this country,” the legislator opined.
Do you think Rev. Prof. Martey didn't do well in his claims of bribery? Does he deserve all the name-calling and outrage that followed?
