The coastline between Jamestown and the Osu castle in Accra was hit by a heavy storm on Saturday around 5.30pm destroying hundreds of canoes, fishing equipment and houses closer to the sea.
According to a news report by Joy News, the incident affected fishing activities on Sunday, as fishermen were unable to go fishing due to the havoc by the storm.
Interaction with some fishermen indicated that they were informed about the storm but they did not expect the impact to be severe.
