One popular Ghanaian highlife singer, Lucky Mensah has been spotted in a new campaign promo for the New Patriotic Party, contrary to the National Democratic Congress side he backed 4 years ago in the general elections.
Lucky ditched the NDC for the NPP for unknown reasons but many suspect the artiste, just like many others, may have been enticed to the other side with money.
Zionfelix.net reports that Lucky Mensah has already recorded a new song to campaign for NPP and its flag bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ahead of the 2016 polls and a video for the son may even be released soon.
The song which was jointly recorded by Morris Babyface and his brother Roro Buddy is expected to be out this week and focuses on the hardship in the country.
It goes on to give several reasons why Ghanaians should vote for NPP during this year’s general election.
Last year August, Lucky Mensah is said to have voiced out his disappointed in NDC. He said the NDC deserted him after he composed a song that served as the theme for the party’s elections 2012 campaign.
“My song had a big influence in retaining the NDC party in power but the leaders and executives of the party, instead of appreciating my good works, have rather neglected me,” he said on Adom FM’s entertainment show last year.
