Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has a simple reply to President John Dramani Mahama asking him to stop begging to become president of Ghana - "I won't stop begging."
The flag-bearer of the New Patriotic Party has reiterated that he will keep appealing to the Ghanaian electorate to vote him into power, come December 7, to grant the country a chance at good leadership and "dignity".
Nana Addo, who was at the end of his campaign tour of the Upper West Region in Tumu, advised the locals to disregard the experience that President Mahama keeps saying makes him (Mahama) a superior choice.
“He says that the presidency is not a trial and error, but when you are there and you are not doing a good job you have to be removed,” Nana Addo told a teeming crowd.
According to Nana Addo, the experience Ghanaians have had under the President Mahama-led administration was a rather bad one. He asserted that a Nana Addo-led governance will be full of people with the potential to transform Ghana.
“I am blessed because inside the NPP we have first class group and we’ll give a first class government. We have the men and women who will bring prosperity to Ghana. The time has come to realise our worth and realise our potential and give a dignified life to our people,” he assured.
Nana Addo warned that another four-year term in office for John Mahama would drive Ghana in chaos.
He added: "The experience that he claims to have is a bad experience. An experience that is costing the people of Ghana.
We want to bring that experience to an end on December 7. This is my third attempt at the presidency – 2008, 2012 and I’m here again. I say help me".
