Flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo, has close to 90 days to win the support of voters ahead of the December 7 elections.
Even as Nana Addo's chances rely solely on the discretion of voters, these top bigwigs in his party have the potential of making his work far easy;
1. John Agyekum Kufuor
Former president, John Agyekum Kufuor, is respected through far and near as Ghana's most refined statesman. This is a former president who won power from Jerry John Rawlings. The power of J.A Kufuor is undoubtedly breathtaking! This is the kind of face Nana Addo may need if indeed he wishes to win this year's elections.
2. Alan Kyerenmanteng
"Alan Cash," as he is well known could be the best financier of Nana Addo's campaign. No surprise the NPP flagbearer is willing to offer him a position as finance minister should he win the elections. Mind you, Alan Kyeremanteng has contested against Nana Addo for the presidential candidacy twice.His input in Nana Addo's campaign remains countless.
3. Sheikh IC Quaye
Elections cannot always be about the boring campaign promises and economic debates. Any presidential candidate will need a political entertainer to spice things up! Undoubtedly, the king of political comedies, Sheikh IC Quaye is the best match.
4. Paul Afoko
If NPP truly wishes to prove to Ghanaians that it remains a united party, then Nana Addo might want to consider Chairman Paul Afoko into his campaign team. It remains a fact that Paul Afoko has been suspended under concerns of indiscipline but let's face it, Paul Afoko has an overwhelming followership that could help Nana Addo ahead of the elections!
5. Otiko Afisah Djaba
The race to the Flagstaff house can barely be complete without the input of NPP's national women's organiser. Otiko Djaba has held this position in the party for almost 5 years and it is no doubt that her ability to woo the women-folk ahead of the elections is priceless!
