Basketmouth robbed at gunpoint in his home

Earlier today, Nigerian Bovi took to his social media to announce that his colleague, Basketmouth had been robbed at gunpoint in his home in Lagos.

Basketmouth, real name Bright Okpocha, is said to have had his home in Lekki phase 1 broken into early this morning and he and his family were fearfully held at gunpoint while they robbed him of his valuable possessions.

According to Bovi, the robbers only made away with several valuables but no one was hurt during the operation which lasted about 2 hours.

Bovi wrote:

"@basketmouth was robbed this morning in his home in lekki phase 1 between the hours of 2am and 4am, 7th of September 2016. He and his family were held at gun point while the sad episode lasted. Nobody was hurt. Valuables were taken including the cctv device. A report has been made at the police station. He can't be reached at the moment but will be back on as soon as possible."

Some friends and family went to visit the victimised family after hearing the news of the robbery but according to pulse.com.ng, Basketmouth and his family seemed to be doing fine.

Fans of the comedian also wished the family well and hoped the culprits will be brought to justice.
