An aide to the former presidential candidate, Alan Kyerematen, has dismissed rumors that the New Patriotic Party stalwart died in London.

Nana Yaw Adutwum, a special assistant to Alan Kyerematen was reacting to rumors making rounds on social media that he NPP powerhouse had passed away in London on Tuesday, 6 September.

The rather tasteless rumors suggested that Alan Kyerematen had given up the ghost after complaints of heart problems.

Mr. Adutwum, who spoke with GraphicOnline.com, reassured that Alan Cash was indeed healthy and had laughed at the "wild rumors".

He also revealed that Alan Cash was not even in London, but rather in Ghana, spending most of his time at his East Legon office.

On several occasion, there have been baseless rumors about the death of public figures who for one reason or another fell of the radar.

Whereas most of these rumors start as an innocent mistake, in an election year, it is suspected that the rumors of the death of Alan Cash could have been ignited for truly malicious reasons.
