Bawumia reveals the "true state of Ghana's economy" today

Vice presidential nominee of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mahamadu Bawumia, is expected to deliver a lecture on what the opposition party terms "the real state of Ghana's economy" at the National Theatre in Accra.

The lecture, which is expected to be chaired by former president John Agyekum Kufuor, will see Bawumia deliver his final economic speech before the December 7 elections.

Ahead of tonight's lecture, Mahamadu Bawumia is reported to have been denied permit to the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) by the foreign affairs ministry - a development leading to the change of venue to the National Theatre.
