A former minister of information, Stephen Asamoah Boateng (Asabee), has revealed that Nigeria's Prophet TB Joshua warned him against contesting the New Patriotic Party (NPP)'s presidential primaries in 2014.
Asabee told Accra-based Starr FM that TB Joshua, whom he described as his spiritual father, warned him that he would lose the primary if he contested.
He said he replied TB Joshua that that he wanted to start from somewhere.
"...I told him I’ve got to start…I’ve got to put my feet there and that I had to graduate from parliamentary. I gave him examples of how Kufour came to where he is and Nana Addo as well," he said.
The former minister said TB Joshua told him that Akufo-Addo would win because people had already made up their minds to vote for him.
Asabee ended up contesting Nana Akufo Addo, Kofi Konadu Apraku, Kofi Osei Ameyaw, Francis Addai Nimoh and Joe Ghartey.
However, he failed to make the final five.
