Ghana's political climate keeps getting tense as the first vice chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), F.F Anto, suggested on radio that the president be hanged or shot at a firing squad for deciding to run for a second term.

Communications minister, Edward Omane Boamah, has described the comments as: "despicable and unimaginable", thus calling on the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to: "engage in progressive and 21st-century politicking and not what divides and inculcates the resort to violence in our people".

The comments made by  F.F Anto follow statements made by the Montie three against supreme court justices which got them sentenced to four months imprisonment.
