Highlife musician, Lucky Mensah, on Thursday, met the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, after he declared support for his candidature ahead of the December elections.
The men exchanged pleasantries, with Lucky Mensah presenting Akufo-Addo with a copy of his song, Yɛresesamu, which endorses the NPP.
After they parted ways, Akufo-Addo shared pictures of their meeting on his Facebook page.
Moments later, some supporters of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) began claiming that the NPP flagbearer had bribed Lucky Mensah.
According to them, the pictures prove that Akufo-Addo handed a brown envelope - which they assume contained money - to Lucky Mensah as he received the Yɛresesamu cd from the musician.
The Akufo-Addo campaign has yet to respond to the allegations.
