One of Ghana's noted gospel musicians, Cwesi Oteng on September 10, chose the side of the political game he wished to join. In a tweet posted on Saturday afternoon, the gospel singer declared his support for the opposition NPP and its flagbearer.
Days before, the musician lambasted critics of musicians who chose sides in the coming elections, stating that such people were oppressors and could not accommodate divergent views.
When asked what he was paid by another twitter account, the musician simply stated that he had endorsed the NPP and its flagbearer because of the respect he had for Nana Addo's clear leadership instincts and not because of money. His endorsement was well received by the NPP flagbearer who thanked him in a tweet for his support and endorsement.
