Nana Addo calls for peaceful elections

Nana Akufo-Addo, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer has urged the Muslim community to ensure an incident-free and peaceful elections, during the December polls.

In a statement to mark the Eid ul-Adha celebrations, Nana Addo called on Muslims to take advantage of ‘one of Islam’s holiest months’ to implore Allah to keep Ghanaians safe as they head to the polls at the end of the year.

We should also pray, in this election year, for credible, fair and transparent elections whose peaceful outcome will further consolidate the peace, unity and democracy of Ghana,” the three-time flagbearer of the largest opposition party said in a statement to mark the occasion," the statement opined.

He also said in his statement that Ghanaians should all pledge to do all in our power to contribute to the forward movement of Ghana, including our ability to sacrifice for the progress of our motherland.
