First lady, Lordina Mahama, received a rousing welcome as she arrived in Ivory Coast for a summit against human trafficking.
Lordina Mahama, who was received on arrival by the first lady of Cote d'Ivoire,Dominique Ouattara, received a rousing welcome by enthusiastic Ghanaian residents in Abidjan who lined up at the presidential lounge of the Port Bouet Airport in Ivory Coast.
The summit is expected to see the first ladies of both West African states, Lordina Mahama and Dominique Ouattara sign a joint declaration against cross-border human trafficking and child labour in the sub-region tomorrow, September 14.
Lordina Mahama, who is accompanied by the social protection minister, Nana Oye Lithur and deputy labour minister, is expected back in Ghana by the end of the week.
