Hundreds of residents in Koforidua in the Eastern region were displaced and rendered homeless in some instances following last weekend's flooding of the municipality.
According to a Starr news report areas like; Koforidua Magazine, Nsukwao, Efijuase Asokere, Abriwa Nkwanta junction and Koforidua highway were the most affected places during Saturday’s flood.
Meanwhile, the New Juaben Municipal Coordinator of National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Kwasi Opare has attributed the cause of the flood to the narrow drains and the indiscriminate dumping of rubbish into the drains.
