BECE releases results amidst fear of low grades

The Ghana Education Service (GES) says results for the 2016 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) will be released today, September 14.

Reports from The Finder newspaper reveal that all is set for officials of the computerized school selection and placement system (CSSPS) to post can­didates to senior high schools (SHSs) on merit as national co-ordinator of the CSSPS, Kwasi Abankwa Anokye, assures that there are enough vacancies for all candidates.

In 2015, close to 109,806 BECE candidate did not get placed into their respective senior high schools by the computerized school selection placement system (CSSPS).  The delay in placement is reported to have been linked to the cancellation of five papers during the examinations.
