In an interview with Asempa FM ahead of the launch of the NDC manifesto at Sunyani, Solomon says  the "plethora of promises being made by the NPP flagbearer is just to deceive Ghanaians" and that having lost two presidential elections, his (Nana Addo's) best option is to appease his soul with a glasses of Guinness.

Both flagbearers of the opposition NPP and incumbent NDC have been condemned by the Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII) for making lavish promises ahead of the December presidential election - a development which comes in the wake of both political parties claiming ownership of each other's manifesto ahead of the elections.
