NDC manifesto launch underway

The NDC’s manifesto launch has finally began after a heavy downpour halted it Saturday morning at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

The much-awaited event has seen thousands of NDC supporters clad in party colours. The massive crowd cheered and waved when top party dignitaries arrived at the venue.

An estimated 60,000 party supporters from across the country are at the launch.

Amongst the top NDC officials present are: Vice President Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur and his wife, Mrs Matilda Amissah-Arthur, the general secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia and  President John Dramani Mahama and his wife, Mrs Lordina Mahama.

Also one interesting observation at the grounds is when some supporters of the NDC were seen carrying a coffin branded with posters of the New Patriotic Party flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo.

The bizarre pictures emerged online showing NDC supporters at the venue carrying a coffin with Akufo Addo's pictures on it.

Meanwhile, the Brong Ahafo Regional chairman of the NDC, Opoku Atuahene, told Citi News that at least 60,000 party supporters from across the country are at the launch.
