Gospel singer, Cecilia Marfo, has been sued for alleged copyright infringement.
A veteran gospel singer, Osei Boateng, sued Cecilia for alleged using his song Yesu Ka Wo Ho on her album without his permission.
Speaking on Accra-based Hitz FM, Boateng said he did not know Cecilia personally and was yet to serve her with the writ.
“I’ve taken Cecelia Marfo’s case to court. I’m not even the one who took it the law court; it’s one judge who called to inform me that he’s given me a lawyer. He’s given me the writ to serve her but I don’t know her so I don’t know where to locate her,” he said.
Cecilia is known for hit songs such as Afunu Ma, Tete Nyame and Nkyira Nka Onyame while Boateng is known for many gospel choral songs.
