Popular Kumawood actor and comedian Kwaku Adu, best known as Agya Koo has said that he has not found any acting work for the past five years due to the economic crises under President Mahama's government. He said that the failed economic policies of President Mahama have led to producers being unable to feature him in their movies, claiming they have no money.
He also said his band has been unable to book any gigs because people prefer the spinners, which are cheaper. The actor said that if the conditions were different and better, he'd be making a profit. He said he would not wait till the current situation put him out of business, which is why he has chosen a side, the NPP.
"Now the ordinary Ghanaian cannot afford basic items like Milk, Sugar, Rice, Bread and other household commodities. We have taken the trouble to do a thorough research of prices of goods and services on the market and compared them to the time of the NPP administration," he said.
Agya Koo added that if there is anyone who would challenge him, the person should check the current market prices for these times.
He further added that he was a parent, and he knew the economic challenges that come with providing his children with quality education in Ghana. Agya Koo and his colleagues have launched a campaign for Nana Akuffo Addo and the NPP for a 57% win in the December elections.
