A video of President Mahama seemingly giving money out to traders at the Abossey Okai market is receiving mixed reaction from the public.

Analysis of the comments on social media regarding the video largely expresses disgust.

Most Ghanaians on social media believe the alleged act is a sign of desperation on the part of the President.

However, other comments suggest President was not doling out money but leaflets, a view strongly held by Chief of Staff Julius Debrah.

Accusing fingers are also being pointed at the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for allegedly doctoring the video.

The incident occurred at the Abossey Market during the President's campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region.
