EC officers attacked at Suhum over voter transfer brawl

Some thugs of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) have reportedly assaulted officials of the electoral commission (EC) at Suhum in the Eastern region with threats to kill them if they (the EC officials) fail to effect changes in votes transfer for some persons leaving outside the constituency.

Narrating the incidence to Kasapa FM, the Suhum district director, Mensah Worlanyo revealed that "the group marched to the EC office and demanded that the person be transferred immediately and in the event, they took away our printer. They called and threatened to kill one staff, so the staff also said they will not work on Friday so we had to make a report at the Police station to give them adequate protection”.

These NDC thugs are reported to have driven in a Ford Expedition car into the municipal chief executive's office after the act. ,Meanwhile, the police have mounted a search warrant for the thugs.
