Three market women at the Agbogbloshie market have revealed that President John Dramani Mahama indeed gave them GH¢ 50.00 each during his campaign tour in the Greater Accra region.
The revelation made by these market women contradicts claims by the chief of staff, Julius Debrah, that the president rather distributed campaign leaflets to the said traders.
One of such traders is Rebecca Kamasah, an egg seller, who confirmed to Atinka News that the president called her and gave her GHC50 after some men, who were struggling to catch a glimpse of the President, pushed her, leading to the destruction of her wares.
So far, it remains unconfirmed whether these traders were indeed the actual women President Mahama called over to his campaign truck.
