A 30-year-old farmer, Zaku Braimah has been busted by the Karaga District Police in the Northern Region of Ghana for possessing large quantities od dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.
According to the public relations officer for the Northern Region, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh, the goods were intercepted on it’s way to Tamale for onward transportation to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
He opined that the suspected was arrested upon a tip-off. He further revealed that an accomplice is currently on the run.
“Two motorbikes, five maxi bags of the substance and dozens of them compressed in slaps have been retrieved from the suspect who will be arraigned before court later this week after police investigations are done,” he told the media.
