Dangote dismisses death rumors, calls them malicious

Alikoto Dangote, the richest man in Africa has dismissed rumors that said that he had died. He has called the rumors 'malicious' and has said that he is in good health.

Earlier this weekend, a media publication alleged that the channel DW-tv3.com announced that the business mogul had passed at the age of 59 on after a short illness in Germany. It also added that his family confirmed the news on the tv station.

The false news went viral on social media with people expressing their shock and sorrow at the news. However, the man took to his twitter on Sunday afternoon to deny the rumors stating that he was "hearty and alive."

In the 2016 edition of Forbes, Alikoto Dangote was mentioned as one of the richest people in Africa, with his worth estimated at $16.4 billion and he owns a conglomerate of businesses. He was supposedly showing interest in owning a stake in the English premier league team Arsenal.
